Monday 10th
The Pelangi Hotel in Seminyak.
We feel like we’ve arrived home. We’re well aware that there’s people who feel about the Pelangi the way we did about the Bali Palms, but Emma and I love the Pelangi.
We head to Vitamin for some massage action and eventually catch up with BT (see parts 4-13 of ‘Got Hitched’) who’s still in Bali after the annual Bali 9’s Masters AFL Tournament at Canggu Beach Club. It has been a tough weekend, his team; The Bali Dingoes narrowly losing two crunch matches.
We’ve made plans to meet at the highly regarded La Lucciola restaurant in Petitenget. It’s a fantastic place, great coffee and excellent food. We waste pretty much the entire morning there and pull the pin back to the Pelangi around 1pm.
Staying in Legian, BT’s lodgings have no pool at present, so we’re happy to ‘smuggle’ him into the Pelangi and we spend a relaxing day in the pool, drinking numerous Bintang’s and chowing at the Pelangi.
We agree that Potato Head is a must for the Tuesday. Bring it on!
